Guidelines for Submission of Abstract

Please observe the following instructions while preparing the abstract:

  • Text Format: Microsoft Word Format
  • Title: Limited to 200 characters in length. Use initial caps in the title; do not use all caps.
  • Author(s): Type all author names with initial caps. Include affiliations for all authors using tags if necessary.
  • Address: Contact/Presenting author’s mailing address and e-mail address.
  • Keywords and Phrases: Maximum 5 keywords or phrases.
  • Abstract Body: Limited to 200 words.
  • Equipment Needs: Indicate your Audio-Visual equipment needs at the end of the abstract.

Guidelines for Full Paper Submission

International Conference on Statistical Modeling, Optimization, and Data Science (SMODS-2026) invites original research contributions from different fields as mentioned in the conference themes. Papers must be submitted on or before the last date of submission. After the deadline, new paper registrations will not be accepted; however, authors may edit the information of already submitted papers.

 

Submission Guidelines

All submissions will be handled electronically using Microsoft’s CMT platform. Authors are instructed not to submit papers directly via e-mail. By submitting a paper, authors agree to the policies of SMODS-2026. The primary author is responsible for adding all co-author details on the CMT portal to ensure proper communication regarding the paper.

Upon submission, authors must specify at least one primary area related to the paper. Each paper will be assigned a unique Paper ID, which should be used in all future communications regarding the submission.

 

Article Types

Articles presenting novel research contributions aligned with the conference themes are invited for submission to SMODS-2026.

 

Language Style

Manuscripts must be prepared and submitted only in standard English language.

 

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

  • Use uppercase initials for the first letter of each word in the title except helping verbs and connectors.
  • Avoid the use of first, second, and third person pronouns such as “I”, “we”, “our”, etc.
  • Proofread the manuscript carefully for English language quality.
  • Avoid abbreviations in the abstract.
  • All figures should be high-resolution with a preferred DPI above 500.
  • Organize contents clearly with objectives, research gap, methodology, and results properly aligned.
  • Include motivation and paper organization at the end of the introduction section.
  • Number and caption all images and tables properly.
  • Do not use screenshots of tables.
  • All equations must be numbered sequentially and discussed in the text.
  • All references, equations, tables, and figures must be cited within the manuscript.
  • Include at least 5–8 keywords in the manuscript.
  • Expand abbreviations at their first occurrence only.
  • All sections and subsections must be numbered properly.
  • Acknowledgements, if any, should appear after the conclusion section.
  • Author details must remain consistent across all submission documents.
  • The conclusion should include statistical support for experimental results.
  • Ensure all references are complete and properly cited.
  • The manuscript length should be between 10–15 pages.

Confidentiality

The review process of SMODS-2026 will remain strictly confidential. Any misuse of confidential information during the review process will be considered a severe professional violation.

Review Process

All submitted papers will undergo a single-blind peer review process after plagiarism checking using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin. Authors may be required to revise and resubmit manuscripts based on reviewer comments before final publication.

 

Plagiarism Policy

SMODS-2026 strictly respects Intellectual Property Rights. Papers with similarity greater than 18% will be rejected immediately. Similarity from a single source should not exceed 2%.

 

Dual / Double Submissions

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere in substantially similar form. Any violation of this policy may result in rejection and reporting to the concerned publication venue.

 

Attendance Responsibilities

If a paper is accepted, at least one author must register and present the paper at the conference. Only presented papers will be forwarded for publication opportunities. Presenters will receive certificates of presentation.
